From humble beginnings in 2007, when the school garden consisted of some planting boxes in the quiet area and the garden space around the nursery, to the fantastic resource that is now available within the school grounds, the Ratho School Garden has been a project of passion, community involvement and lots of fun. The garden group are always happy to see volunteers who want to get involved. During the summer terms they meet most Tuesday evenings from 6pm in the garden to carry out maintenance and general gardening tasks. The photos on this page show the very early work that was carried out when the garden project was started. Just take a look at the great pictures in the latest garden report here to see the huge progress that has been made since then!
